Collected Papers

This is a collection of papers I authored or co-authored as part of the Information and Learning Technologies, Instructional Design & Adult Learning Masters Program at University of Colorado Denver.

Accessible Content: Improving Learning Management Systems - A reflection of how I believe Learning Management Systems should evolve in the future to become more useful and manageable.

The Ineffectiveness of Instructional Technologies in Corporate Learning - This was an assigned position for this paper.  While I do not completely agree with the position that I took, it was a great exercise that invoked a critical analysis of instructional technologies and how they are often utilized to minimal effect in corporate learning programs.  Exploring the mistakes and shortcomings of the past is one of the best methods for improving how we insert technology into our learning programs today.

Practitioner Profile - A profile of Carol Manning, an industry leader in the field of corporate learning and development. Prior to her work at Lehman Brothers, Carol was the Chief Learning Officer at both Rhythms Netconnection and Bay Networks. Currently, Carol is a private learning consultant.  This paper is also available in HTML format on this website by clicking on Practitioner Profile under Project Gallery.
