Digital Story - Overcoming Departmental Barriers
Using a non-linear video editing tool (Windows Movie Maker), I developed a digital story and created an instructional unit based on established learning theory that appeals to multiple learning styles. This includes the integration of a digital story into the instructional activities. The course materials included below explain this in more detail.
ILT Competencies Demonstrated: 3, 4, 5
Competency 3: I analyzed employees in a department at work and determined that they might benefit if the digital story and unit plan included below were provided as a training program with the intention of helping to highlight the need for interdepartmental teamwork and collaboration in the workplace as a method for performance improvement.
Competency 4: I included a digital story in a traditional classroom curriculum as a means of appealing to diverse learners.
Competency 5: The digital story created for this project is a visual, non-text based presentation that includes images, music, and audio narration to support learning and performance.
Below is the digital story I produced for this course.
